Results will be out on Friday, 6 December!
If you did not perform well, there is a possibility that you will receive a letter from your faculty during the holiday break.
This is called a notice of referral and hearing and it refers to your academic progress.
Don’t be alarmed! The MGA Advocates have a lot of experience and can guide you through this situation.
Follow this process:
- The most important thing to do is respond to this letter by the due date written on the notice of referral.
- Fill it in and return the included Student Response Form. Once you submit the form, you can always provide more information to your faculty later. Just remember to lodge your Student Response Form in time!
- The University will not take any adverse action against you during the close-down period. Don’t worry if you can’t lodge all your documents together with your form.
- If you are required to attend an academic progress meeting, this will take place at the end of January or early February. An MGA Advocate will prepare you for this meeting, and attend the meeting with you as a support person.
The MGA will be closed from Friday, 20 December 2019 to Thursday, 9 January 2020.
Please call or email the MGA office on or after Thursday, 9 January 2020 to make an appointment with one of our Advocates, who can then help you prepare your appeal letter and guide you through this process.
