Employment Opportunities with the MGA

A range of employment opportunities arise at the MGA throughout each year. We run a graduate student employment program for Monash students who wish to work a flexible job whilst studying. We also employ professional staff in various career capacities to be part of the MGA team.

If you’re interested in working for the MGA, check out current jobs on this page and Seek. Graduate student positions will be advertised through our social media pages and the MGA fortnightly newsletter.

Graduate Employment Program

Launched in 2016, the MGA graduate employment program was created to provide on-campus work opportunities for current Monash graduate students. We recognise that finding a job which fits around an ever-changing university schedule can be difficult. Our graduate employment program recruits graduate students at the campus or off-campus site where they are based and allows for flexibility in the work schedule.

We currently hire graduate students in the following casual positions:

  • Receptionists (Clayton and Caulfield)
  • Events Assistants (AMREP and MMC)
  • Social Media Assistants (Caulfield)
  • Research Assistants (Clayton)
  • Student Representatives Assistants (Clayton)
  • Accounts Payable Officer (Clayton)

Professional staff

The MGA currently employs a team of 23 professional staff who follow the direction of our student Executive Committee to create and run the MGA’s amazing services.

We operate out of two central offices located on Clayton and Caulfield campuses, with desks at Parkville and Peninsula. Our staff will often travel to various locations to engage with and support graduate students as required.

From time-to-time we have positions available, listed below. If you would like to work with us as a contracted or permanent staff member, please read our job ads and apply! We’d love to hear from you.
