In April and May 2024, the MGA conducted a survey of graduate students at Monash and nine other Australian universities.

Students were asked to rate the importance of various aspects of a graduate educational experience, and then to rate the satisfaction of those same aspects according to their own experiences at their university.

Similar surveys were conducted in 2017 and 2021, which have allowed for some comparisons throughout this report.

The main findings as they relate to graduate research students enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering are summarised in this report.

Work for the MGA

The MGA employs Monash graduate students to fill the receptionist roles at the Clayton and Caulfield offices. When a vacancy arises we advertise the position through our email newsletter and on our website.

The Monash Graduate Association (MGA) is the representative body for all graduate research and coursework students enrolled at Monash University. So, what sets us apart from the University services? The MGA is an independent, not-for-profit association governed by graduate students, for graduate students. Our primary aim is to be there for you!
