Virtual Pop-up Grocer

Exclusively for non-major campuses and online graduate students

At the MGA, we understand the rising cost of living is a challenge many graduate students face. We also know that students based at non-major campuses often miss out on our on-campus welfare initiatives such as free lunches, community markets, and pop-up grocers.

To help bridge the gap, we're offering 100 Coles vouchers valued at $30 each to graduate students who haven't been able to access these on-campus services. This support is our way of ensuring that all graduate students -- no matter where they're based -- can benefit from our welfare programs.

This program is strictly for graduate students who are enrolled in a non-major campus location such as Parkville, Peninsula, Law Chambers, Monash Medical Centre, AMREP, St Kilda Road and online.

Once you register your interest, your name will be entered into a random lottery system. Only one voucher is available per student, and successful recipients will receive their voucher via email.

Program start date: Monday, 23 June 2025 9:00AM AEST

Program end date: Monday, 7 July 2025 5:00PM AEST

Random draw date: Wednesday, 9 July 2025

Vouchers allocation date: From Thursday, 10 July 2025

Before applying, please read the information below about criteria and eligibility. Terms and conditions also apply.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. You must be a current Monash graduate student (PhD, Masters, Graduate Diploma, Graduate Certificate).
  2. You must be currently residing in Australia.
  3. You must be enrolled in an online course OR based at a non-major campus location because of the graduate degree you are studying. Major campuses are defined as Clayton and Caulfield campuses. Non-major campuses refer to Law Chambers, the Alfred Precinct, School of Public Health St Kilda Road, Monash Medical Centre, Box Hill Hospital, Moe School of Rural Health, Notting Hill, Bendigo, Southbank - Department of Forensic Medicine and Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute.

Valid evidence of non-major campus and online enrolment includes:

  2. Photo/scan of your medical institution ID;
  3. A letter from your supervisor stating you are based at an off-campus location because of your degree.

Your Monash student ID (M Pass) does not serve as valid evidence of campus enrolment.

Key information about your proof of enrolment:

  • Screenshots must include name. If your WES says that you are enrolled at Clayton but you are based out of an off-campus site such as the Alfred, MMC, or Law Chambers, please say so in a statement or provide your Hospital ID as evidence.

Work for the MGA

The MGA employs Monash graduate students to fill the receptionist roles at the Clayton and Caulfield offices. When a vacancy arises we advertise the position through our email newsletter and on our website.

The Monash Graduate Association (MGA) is the representative body for all graduate research and coursework students enrolled at Monash University. So, what sets us apart from the University services? The MGA is an independent, not-for-profit association governed by graduate students, for graduate students. Our primary aim is to be there for you!
