A Day Out with the MGA: Melbourne Zoo Trip 2024

Explore, experience & enjoy the wild! Join us for a day of adventure and fun!

The MGA invites all Monash University graduate students to spend a day out at the Melbourne Zoo! As the Victorian school holidays approach, you may be looking for an activity to entertain your children. Or if you're just looking for something fun to do on your mid-semester break, this is a great opportunity for you to get out and take a quick hiatus from your studies!

This is a family friendly event and you are welcome to bring along your little ones.

Tickets are mostly subsidised by the MGA and a generous donation by Professor David Copolov AO - Pro Vice Chancellor (Major Campuses and Student Engagement).

Your ticket will include:

  • a bus ride to and from the zoo (Caulfield and Clayton campuses);
  • entry into the zoo;
  • private MGA function space within the zoo, for when you need to rest; and
  • a light vegetarian lunch with refreshments.

Note: transportation provided will be able to accommodate strollers if you have young children attending this trip.

Time: 10:30am to 3:00pm

Venue: Melbourne Zoo, Elliott Avenue, Parkville 3052

Work for the MGA

The MGA employs Monash graduate students to fill the receptionist roles at the Clayton and Caulfield offices. When a vacancy arises we advertise the position through our email newsletter and on our website.

The Monash Graduate Association (MGA) is the representative body for all graduate research and coursework students enrolled at Monash University. So, what sets us apart from the University services? The MGA is an independent, not-for-profit association governed by graduate students, for graduate students. Our primary aim is to be there for you! If you can’t find what you are looking for, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
