Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024

About the MGA's AGM and how you can participate

Every year the MGA runs an Annual General Meeting (AGM) where our Executive Committee members report to the graduate student community on the work they have carried out over the last year. The AGM is also an opportunity for the MGA to hear from graduate students with concerns or questions about the MGA or Monash University. All graduate students at Monash are welcome to attend.

Any changes to the MGA constitution must be approved by an AGM, and as such, must be raised as formal motions prior to the meeting if they are to be considered and discussed at the AGM. All motions received will be published on the website two weeks ahead of the AGM.

There will also be a casual discussion at the end of the AGM where graduate students can discuss their Monash experience or provide feedback to the MGA, without the need for a formal motion.

Work for the MGA

The MGA employs Monash graduate students to fill the receptionist roles at the Clayton and Caulfield offices. When a vacancy arises we advertise the position through our email newsletter and on our website.

The Monash Graduate Association (MGA) is the representative body for all graduate research and coursework students enrolled at Monash University. So, what sets us apart from the University services? The MGA is an independent, not-for-profit association governed by graduate students, for graduate students. Our primary aim is to be there for you! If you can’t find what you are looking for, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
