MGA Fuel Your Study Week @ Clayton | 28 - 30 May

Meeting study deadlines is hard work. That’s why it’s time to take a break and recharge with the MGA!

For Fuel Your Study Week (FYSW) this semester, we will serve a nutritious free brunch on the Clayton campus and set up some mindful activity corners for when you need to take a much needed brain-break to relax and recharge during this time.

On Wednesday, you can take a play-break with some of our support dogs! If you’re looking to switch off entirely, then we suggest you join us on Tuesday or Thursday for a free mini-massage. Most importantly, we will be serving free food before each of these activities.

Check out the full FYSW timetable below, and remember to pop the dates in your diary. We're here to get you through SWOT VAC!

Brunch service: recharge your body

Don’t go hungry during Fuel Your Study Week! If you are too busy or too rushed to eat, or you just need a second breakfast, come and grab your delicious free brunch. We’ll have all the tasty, brunchy food you need to start your day right as well as juice, coffee and tea! Vegetarian and gluten free options will also be available.

Mindful activities will be at your disposal throughout.

YUM… Brain food. No registrations required – it’s first come, first served.

Tuesday, 28 May / Wednesday, 29 May / Thursday, 30 May from 11:00am until food runs out.

Mini massages: Recharge your body

If you have a few minutes to spare during SWOT VAC, pop in and get a massage to work out those tight shoulders. These 5-10 minute mini-massages will send you back to your books feeling refreshed and revived. Massages are performed through the recipient’s clothing in a specially-designed massage chair that alleviates neck, shoulder, back and arm tension.
No registrations are required – just turn up on the day and add your name to our list. It’s first come, first served.

Tuesday, 28 May & Thursday, 30 May from 11:00am – 2:00pm.

Dogs on campus: Recharge your soul

Exams season can be “ruff”, but get ready for a “pawsitive” lift in your mental health!

MGA will be releasing the hounds during FYSW to help you destress and take a moment to reset. We will be providing a session with certified therapy dogs in accordance with the Service Animals Australia Essential Standards for Therapy Dogs. You could even say they’re paw-fessionals in their field.

No registrations are required – just turn up on the day and add your name to our list to secure a spot with these friendly canines.

Wednesday, 29 May from 11:30am – 12:30pm.

MGA Health and Wellbeing Guidelines for Events

Work for the MGA

The MGA employs Monash graduate students to fill the receptionist roles at the Clayton and Caulfield offices. When a vacancy arises we advertise the position through our email newsletter and on our website.

The Monash Graduate Association (MGA) is the representative body for all graduate research and coursework students enrolled at Monash University. So, what sets us apart from the University services? The MGA is an independent, not-for-profit association governed by graduate students, for graduate students. Our primary aim is to be there for you! If you can’t find what you are looking for, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
