Drop by our Pop-up Grocer and grab your free groceries - now available at our Parkville campus!

In this harsh economic climate, students at Parkville have found it hard to adjust to the cost of living. Thus, we are offering Monash graduate students the chance to stock up on free groceries courtesy of the MGA.

BYO shopping bag and get your toiletries, pantry items and fresh produce. Please also bring your own reusable containers or jars to fill with loose items like grains, beans and legumes.

There will be limits on items so that everybody gets a fair share.

No bookings are required. The MGA Pop-up Grocer runs on a first-come, first-served basis.

MGA Health and Wellbeing Guidelines for Events 

  • Attend only when well: If you are feeling unwell or exhibiting flu-like symptoms, we kindly ask that you do not attend the event. 
  • Practice good hygiene: Please maintain good hygiene practices. This includes regular hand washing or using the hand sanitizer which will be readily available at the venue.
  • Mask availability: Masks will be available for attendees who request them.

Work for the MGA

The MGA employs Monash graduate students to fill the receptionist roles at the Clayton and Caulfield offices. When a vacancy arises we advertise the position through our email newsletter and on our website.

The Monash Graduate Association (MGA) is the representative body for all graduate research and coursework students enrolled at Monash University. So, what sets us apart from the University services? The MGA is an independent, not-for-profit association governed by graduate students, for graduate students. Our primary aim is to be there for you!
