Pause & Play | Caulfield

Relax and unwind with an afternoon of food, drink and active rest

As the semester rages on, we find that it becomes more important to carve out time between classes and other commitments to take a mindful break.

That's why we're hosting 'pause and play' sessions at Clayton and Caulfield! Join us for an afternoon of arts, crafts and other mindful activities. We'll provide Lego, art supplies, colouring books and mindfulness toys so that you can choose your own adventure.

We will also serve snacks and drinks, but mostly host a space where you can take a mindful break from your studies.

This year, we will also be hosting a sustainable DIY workshop in each of our Pause & Play sessions, featuring a sustainable expert/instructor. At the end of each session, we will present prizes for the "best" DIY. Spots for this workshop will be limited to a first come first serve basis.

Date: Thursday, 5 September

Time: 2:30pm to 4:30pm

Venue: John White Room (C110), Level 1, Building C, Caulfield Campus

Sustainable DIY Workshop: Make Paper and Seed Bombs with Emma

Emma will teach you how to make and decorate seed paper to create gorgeous gift cards or Christmas tree decorations that can be planted in a garden or sprouted inside. As a bonus, Emma will also teach you how to make 'seed bombs' for guerilla gardening!

This is a free event, but please make sure you register below and bring along your confirmation email as a condition of entry. Even better, show us your email confirmation on your phone and save a tree!

Bookings will open 2 weeks before the event date.

Work for the MGA

The MGA employs Monash graduate students to fill the receptionist roles at the Clayton and Caulfield offices. When a vacancy arises we advertise the position through our email newsletter and on our website.

The Monash Graduate Association (MGA) is the representative body for all graduate research and coursework students enrolled at Monash University. So, what sets us apart from the University services? The MGA is an independent, not-for-profit association governed by graduate students, for graduate students. Our primary aim is to be there for you! If you can’t find what you are looking for, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
