Starting a job in Australia comes with important rights and responsibilities. Understanding them early can help you avoid common pitfalls, protect yourself at work, and make informed decisions about employment.

Delivered by the Migrant Workers Centre, this practical session explains the basics of Australian workplace law in a clear and accessible way. You'll learn about pay, contracts, visa work conditions, safety protections and where to seek support giving you the confidence to work safely and fairly while you study.
