Can you tell us a bit about yourself, your background and your area of study?

I am Mohammed Zeehan Saleheen, currently pursuing my PhD at the Faculty of Information Technology. My research focuses on designing microgrids for enhanced reliability. Prior to my PhD, I completed my master's degree from Monash Malaysia. Additionally, I worked in a nuclear power plant for three years.

What is your role within the MGAEC, and what are you hoping to achieve over your term in office?

During my tenure, I intend to collaborate closely with graduate students and advocate for their rights.

What motivated you to join the executive committee? What drives you to make a difference in your graduate community?

I was motivated to join the executive committee because I wanted to have a more active role in shaping the graduate student experience. Having benefited from various GSA initiatives myself, I felt driven to give back and work towards creating more opportunities and support for my community.
