Graduate students, friends and family got an early start to their long weekend at the MGA's notorious annual outing to the Melbourne Zoo! As soon as they arrived, attendees were greeted by a group of baby ducklings on the lawn, and they knew they were in for a treat.
Though a pack of lions were hiding away, not wanting to be disturbed, the elephants welcomed everyone with warm waves, while their young slumbered by their feet. The turtles were seen splashing and sunbaking, much to everyone's delight!
Native Australian wildlife was particularly on show this year, with reported sights of dingos playing and Tasmanian devils napping under the afternoon sun.
Students and their partners, children or friends stopped by the Leopard Lodge for a free lunch before heading back out to explore more.
Before they knew it, it was time to leave, though this perfect day was enjoyed by all. Some were even fortunate enough to receive butterfly kisses!
