We're collaborating with Monash Careers and Employability to help you figure out what comes after your PhD.
In this series of three workshops, we'll discuss the following topics:
- to stay or leave academia
- identifying transferrable critical skills
- nailing your job hunt
In each session, you can expect external presenters who have navigated the same journey. This event will be offered in-person at Clayton, and online.
Dr. Lachlan Dalli will join the first workshop, a Research Fellow at Monash University sharing his journey in navigating the transition from PhD to a successful academic career.
Since completing his PhD in late 2022, Dr. Dalli has established himself as an emerging leader in epidemiology. He has contributed to over $3 million in research funding, securing competitive support from the National Heart Foundation, the Stroke Foundation, and the Jack Brockhoff Foundation, and earned national and international honors, including the 2025 BGRF Emerging Researcher of the Year Award and the American Heart Association Paul Dudley White Scholar Award.
Light refreshments will be provided to those who attend in-person.
Register for workshop 2 (30 Sep) and workshop 3 (7 Oct).
