Are you a new PhD, Masters, Grad Dip or Grad Cert student looking to get a head start and make new friends before O Week kicks off? Join the Monash Graduate Association (MGA) for brunch with new and existing Monash graduate students at Brick Lane Melbourne, a quintiessentially Melbourne cafe and brunch experience in the heart of the CBD. It’s the ideal way to make new friends and kickstart your graduate journey.

We kindly ask that you arrive on time at 11:00am sharp. Your ticket price includes a meal and a drink but please note that if you arrive after 11:30am, you will not be guaranteed a meal and drink.

HOW TO GET THERE:

📍Brick Lane Melbourne, 33 Guilford Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000

This cafe is in a small laneway in the Melbourne CBD. If Google Maps looks like it is taking you into a narrow alleyway, don't worry -- you are on the right track! Guildford Lane is a pedestrian only laneway and Brick Lane is located on this lane.

From Caulfield Campus:

  1. Take a train towards the city (the Frankston line is usually the easiest option).

  2. Stay on the train until Melbourne Central Station (or State Library Station if your train uses the Metro Tunnel).

  3. Leave the station using the Elizabeth Street Exit.

  4. On Elizabeth Street, turn right towards La Trobe Street and keep walking along La Trobe Street.

  5. Turn left onto Sutherland Street.

  6. Turn right onto Guildford Lane.

  7. You will find Brick Lane Melbourne in the middle of the laneway.

From Clayton Campus:

  1. Take any train that goes to the city and stops at Melbourne Central Station.

  2. Follow the walking directions below.

IF YOU GET LOST...

Don't worry! A reminder email will be sent out the day before the event which will include contact details of an MGA staff member or representative who will be at the venue on the day.

⏰ TIP: If this is your first time visiting Melbourne's laneways, please allow an extra 10-15 minutes to get there. Guildford Lane can be easy to miss the first time.

Tickets will go live on June 25 at 9:00AM.

Please read our General Terms and Conditions for Ticket Sales, also available on our Governing Documents page.
