To submit a motion for this year's AGM, please use this Google Form. Only motions submitted to the MGA by the due date of Thursday, 14 May 5:00PM will be accepted.

The MGA hosts an Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year, where our Executive Committee presents a report on their activities over the past year to the graduate student community. The AGM also provides a platform for graduate students to share their concerns, ask questions, and engage in discussions about the MGA and Monash University.

All Monash graduate students are welcome to attend.

Any proposed amendments to the MGA Constitution must be formally submitted as motions before the meeting. These motions will be reviewed and published on our website two weeks before the AGM.

Following the formal proceedings, there will be an informal discussion where graduate students can share their Monash experience or provide feedback to the MGA without needing to submit a formal motion.

This year, the AGM will be held online via Zoom.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • All graduate students intending to attend the AGM must register their attendance
  • The last day to register for the AGM is Wednesday, 27 May at 12:00PM AEST
  • The zoom link and relevant documents will be sent to those who have registered prior to the commencement of the AGM
  • Any questions regarding the AGM can be directed to janice.boey@monash.edu
  • The conduct of the AGM will be governed by the MGA Constitution and AGM regulations

MGA acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live, the Wurundjeri peoples and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.

We acknowledge the importance of Indigenous knowledge in the Academy. As a community of researchers, teachers, professional staff and students, we are privileged to work and learn every day with Indigenous colleagues and partners.
