Can you tell us a bit about yourself, your background and your area of study?
I am currently completing my Juris Doctor at Monash University, with a strong interest in commercial law, regulation, governance, public policy and advocacy. My background spans government, public affairs and legal administration, including experience in federal parliamentary offices and at a commercial law firm.
These experiences have shaped my interest in institutional decision-making, stakeholder engagement and the role of effective governance in supporting strong and accountable organisations.
What is your role within the MGAEC, and what are you hoping to achieve over your term in office?
As a member of the MGA Executive Committee, I hope to contribute to the Association’s work in representing and supporting Monash graduate students. Over the 2026–2027 term, I am particularly interested in strengthening student advocacy, supporting constructive engagement between graduate students and the University, and contributing to an MGA that is responsive, professional and focused on practical outcomes.
What motivated you to join the executive committee? What drives you to make a difference in your graduate student community?
I was motivated to join the Executive Committee because I believe graduate students should have thoughtful and effective representation within the University community. Postgraduate study can be demanding, and the MGA plays an important role in ensuring graduate students are heard, supported and represented.
I look forward to working collaboratively with the Committee to contribute to the governance and direction of the Association, and to support the interests of graduate students across Monash.
