The Coursework Education Officer is responsible for liaising with appropriate bodies in relation to issues pertaining to coursework graduates of Monash University, ensuring that the concerns of coursework graduates are brought to the attention of the MGAEC, liaising with MGA staff responsible for graduate representatives on coursework-related University boards and committees, ensuring MGA responds to changes to important coursework-related policies, procedures and regulations of the University, and more.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself, your background and your area of study?
Hi everyone, my name is Parv Haria. I am a student of International Relations, Faculty of Arts. I also have a deep interest in reading history. Apart from that, I am also a long distance runner.
What is your role within the MGAEC, and what are you hoping to achieve over your term in office?
I am the Coursework Education Officer for the year 2026-27, and I am grateful for this opportunity. My role is to represent the interests of postgraduate coursework students within the University. I will ensure that student voices are heard and their concerns are addressed. Students must have a say in the decisions that impact them, and that is exactly what I intend to address.
What motivated you to join the executive committee? What drives you to make a difference in your graduate student community?
Through my time in Monash, I have realized the outsized impact of a student body on one's University experience. An engaged student body can significantly improve one's experience, and being elected to the Executive Committee gives me a chance to contribute to the student community.
