Small actions. Big impact. A more sustainable planet.

28 September - 1 October 2026 (Week 9)

This Sustainability Week, Monash Student Organisations MSA, MONSU Caulfield, MONSU Peninsula, MPSU and MGA are coming together to celebrate sustainability across our campuses.

Join us for a week of free activities, food, giveaways and interactive stalls exploring how we can make more sustainable choices, support our communities and take action on climate change. From reducing waste and giving pre-loved items a second life to sustainable food and climate action, there'll be plenty of ways to get involved.

Check out what's on at your campus!

Sustainability in action

MSO Sustainability Week is centred around four of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), connecting global sustainability goals with actions we can take within our own campus communities.

SDG 2: ZERO HUNGER

Explore sustainable food, food security and initiatives that help make nutritious food more accessible.

SDG 11: SUSTAINABLE CITIES & COMMUNITIES

Discover ideas for greener campuses and communities, from sustainable transport to shared and circular spaces.

SDG 12: RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION & PRODUCTION

Reduce, reuse and rethink what we consumer through clothing swaps, mending, thrifting, waste reduction and other circular economy initiatives.

SDG 13: CLIMATE ACTION

Learn more about climate advocacy, conservation and the ways students can contribute to meaningful climate action.

MGA acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live, the Wurundjeri peoples and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.

We acknowledge the importance of Indigenous knowledge in the Academy. As a community of researchers, teachers, professional staff and students, we are privileged to work and learn every day with Indigenous colleagues and partners.
