Join your fellow HDR students for a well-deserved Friday night out to catch the spectacular final evening of the NGV’s Cartier exhibition. Dress in your finest attire!
During the evening, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will be performing live classical masterpieces seamlessly reimagined alongside popular contemporary songs to bring the world of Cartier to life through sound. Wax Museum Records will take over the decks for their "Brainwaves" curated night, playing an underground mix of jazz, soul, and local Melbourne grooves. There will also be a special Diamonds for the Diva operatic performance by Melbourne Opera, paying tribute to famous Cartier client Dame Nellie Melba.
Your ticket gives you unlimited late-night access to two major feature shows:
- Cartier: featuring nearly 400 extraordinary jewellery pieces, historic gems, and rare archival designs.
- Ragnar Kjartansson - Mercy: a captivating contemporary exhibition by the renowned Icelandic performance and visual artist.
Whether you are looking to network outside the lab, chat with peers, or immerse yourself in some world-class art, design, and history, this is the perfect way to end your working week. Expect stunning jewellery displays, live music, pop-up bars, and great company. There will be a variety of ambient dinner and snack options available for purchase.
