Want to know who's running to represent you on the MGA Executive Committee 2026/27? Join us for a Meet the Candidates session, hosted by the Returning Officer (RO), where each candidate will have the opportunity to give a three-minute speech outlining their vision and priorities.

This is your chance to get to know the people behind the names on the ballot! If time permits, attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the candidates.

Don't miss this chance to make an informed vote and get involved in shaping the future of the MGA!

Get to know the candidates and their views here - read Candidate Statements. To learn more about the election, click here.

MGA acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live, the Wurundjeri peoples and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.

We acknowledge the importance of Indigenous knowledge in the Academy. As a community of researchers, teachers, professional staff and students, we are privileged to work and learn every day with Indigenous colleagues and partners.
