First of all, please don’t panic! We all have our ups and downs and these things happen.
If you want to work out how you came to a result, you can request feedback to see how you did on your assessment. This page can guide you through this process.
Remission of debt and Withdrawn Incomplete grades
In exceptional circumstances, students who fail a unit may be eligible for either a refund or to have their grade changed to Withdrawn Incomplete (WI). Strict criteria applies - you must be able to demonstrate with proof that circumstances were outside of your control.
You can read more about each via the links below:
In each case, we recommend you get advice from one of our advocates before applying. Please note that there are deadlines in which to do this.

You can also take a supplementary assessment
If you’ve failed a unit but want a second chance at passing, you may be able to take a supplementary assessment. Eligibility criteria apply, though this option should likely be available to you if you find yourself in this situation. Make sure to check your emails from Monash, as they will notify you. If you don’t complete the supplementary assessment, your final unit result will be based on the assessments you completed for the unit – but if you complete the supplementary assessment and you pass, your final unit result will be 50 (P). You can learn more about supplementary assessments here.
The MGA advocates encourage students to come to us with concerns about their results.
