Friday, 7 August is the last day you can make changes for your Semester 2 enrolment. What does this mean and what do you need to do?

Now that a brand new semester has kicked off and you've attended some classes, you may be questioning your original choices. Maybe a certain elective isn't what you thought it would be, but you've heard good things from your peers about another unit that you hadn't initially enrolled in. Or perhaps there's a class that you've realised just doesn't suit your workload right now.
If you're experiencing any of these dilemmas – you still have a bit of time to think on it – but be sure to make your decisions and make any changes via Monash's Web Enrolment System (WES) by Friday, 7 August at the very latest.
Please note that the advice above may differ for off-campus students or those enrolled in non-standard semesters. It's a good idea to check this page for clarity. You can also email an MGA advocate for further advice.
Another crucial thing to note is that this is NOT the census date. The census date is the final date to withdraw from a unit without facing financial and academic penalties. For students enrolled in a standard semester, the census date is not until 31 August 2026. It's a good idea to mark this in your calendars regardless – but we'll be sure to remind you closer to the time.
In short, Friday, 7 August simply masks your last opportunity to select which units you intend to study for the remainder of the semester.
