MGA Advocacy: Monash triggered the Discipline Process. What should I do?

Stress and pressure can lead to poor choices during assessment and exam time. Some of these choices may result in the Monash University discipline process.

Here are a few reasons why students might trigger the Monash University discipline process:

  • colluding with friends;
  • failing to reference properly;
  • taking unauthorised material into exams or using mobile phones;
  • plagiarising someone else’s work;
  • getting someone else to write their essay.

If you have been contacted by Monash University for any of these reasons, don’t panic. An MGA advocate can help you through the process!

Here are a few things you should know

  • Monash University will be closed over from Thursday, 22 December 2022 to Monday, 2 January 2023. No action will be taken against you during this period.
  • If you need to submit a letter to Monash University before Tuesday, 10 January 2023, draft your response and email it to us and we will be able to provide you with our feedback and suggestions:
