Harvey thought he could apply for a deferred exam because he missed the alarm and slept in. Find out what happened next…
It was the best night’s sleep Harvey had in a long time and he even dreamed about a world without exams!
Once awake, poor Harvey got the shock of his life. He quickly applied for special consideration asking for a deferred exam (for new students, this refers to an exam you can arrange to sit at a later date).
Harvey presented a compelling case saying that he was being honest because he did not wish to pretend he was sick and apply on that basis.
Unfortunately and regardless of his honesty, his application was refused because sleeping in was not a ground for special consideration.
The take away message here is: please know the grounds for special consideration applications, which can be found here.
