 /964/</p>\n<p>What is Shut Up and Write? Basically\, it&#39\;s a chance f
 or a group of students to get together virtually over Zoom to have a coff
 ee and chat\, then spend 1.5 hours writing in 25-minute blocks with 5-min
 ute breaks in between.</p>\n\n<p>During writing time\, there are no inter
 ruptions: no phones\, no talking. During the breaks\, you can talk about 
 writing and other things\, have a snack\, have a stretch\, take a few dee
 p breathes\, refill your mugs and then get back to writing!</p>\n\n<p>How
  can I prepare in advance to get more done?</p>\n\n<ul>\n	<li>Have a writ
 ing plan and materials prepared (articles\, notes\, chart) so you are abl
 e to concentrate on your writing without any interruptions.</li>\n	<li>Se
 t your own target of how much writing you want to achieve during the shut
  up and write session.</li>\n	<li>Focus on drafting new material for the 
 thesis as opposed to editing\, revising\, or re-hashing existing content.
