Graduate Student Representative position on the Engineering OHS Committee

The Engineering OHS Committee aims to make the faculty a safer place for all staff and students. Nominations are now open for a research graduate student in the Faculty of Engineering to apply. If you have ideas about what would make your faculty a safer place for your fellow students, we would love to hear from you!



How to Apply:

  • The closing date for nominations for this position is 5:00pm on Friday, 14 October 2022.
  • Applications must be filled out by clicking on the “Apply Here” link above.
  • Applicants are also welcome to submit their current resume as a PDF along with their Google application form.

A few things you should know before applying:

  • The committee requires one research graduate student representative (Masters by Research or PhD).
  • The committee meets 4 times per year to discuss occupational health and safety matters important to staff and students in the Faculty of Engineering.
  • The next meeting will be on Wednesday, 24 November 2022 at 12:00pm.
  • If appointed, you would be in the role for the remainder of 2022 and for 2023.
  • The successful candidate’s name and email address will be published in the list of current graduate student representatives on the MGA’s website.

The entire appointment process is conducted by the Monash Graduate Association (MGA), an independent external organisation. All shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview. All information received will be treated confidentially and with care.
